At Large Candidates

Lauren Bailey

Lauren Bailey has served on the ARCA board for 8 years as the rep to the Arlington Neighborhood Program. She has also served as the ARCA liaison to Oakridge Elementary and to the Arlington water treatment facility. She and her family have lived in Arlington Ridge for the past 13 years. Lauren has a professional background in wildlife biology and environmental science.

Jessica Dee

Jessica has lived in the Arlington Ridge neighborhood for 21 years. She has lived in 3 of the 5 condos on the top of the Ridge and has been heavily involved with all of them. She created the Social Committee at the Ridge House when she was a renter. She chaired the Social Committee at the Horizon House and brought food trucks to the neighborhood during covid. She also served on the Board as a director and then President. Since moving to Pentagon Ridge, she has been board Treasurer and now President and, of course, the social committee. She would like to expand her involvement with the community and looks forward to giving back and helping to continue to build the great sense of community that already exists. She has a varied background with the majority of her professional career spent in the hospitality industry. She currently works for a BID-like organization in Tysons and spends her time building community and encouraging people to walk, bike, and roll around Tysons.

Tina Ghiladi

Tina Ghiladi Muise has called Arlington Ridge home for 25 years—first as a renter, now as a homeowner—and deeply values the warmth, diversity, and mutual support of the community. She is running for ARCA’s Board to give back to the neighborhood that has given her so much. Tina has led complex finance, real estate, IT, and transportation projects across sectors and continents, earning multiple awards along the way—including several for outstanding partnership and collaboration. Known as a “project manager on steroids,” she believes that real success comes from teams that deliver timely, tangible results while having fun in the process. She holds a B.A. in Economics, an M.B.A. in International Business, and professional certifications including Project Management Professional and Certified Treasury Professional. In her downtime, she loves nothing more than listening to great stories shared by family and friends over coffee or a good meal.

James Larsen

Jim has been a resident on S. Glebe  Rd. for a member of years and is aware of the general challenges of the region. He used to work for Arlington County county and worked with some of the planners who periodically reported to groups on activities and input feedback on how to proceed. With his background and business operations including hotels and tourism he also brings insight into  some of the challenges we will face with projects either coming before us or being proposed.  He also can help us talk to the right people within the county and issues where we want input and maybe don’t always agree.

John Steele

I’m a 10-year resident of 16th Street South and a current At-Large ARCA Board member.

As an ARCA Board member, I have, among other duties, represented the association before the County for the proposed Melwood development.

I’ve also taken an active role in the RiverHouse redevelopment project to ensure that the concerns of the neighbors surrounding the ambitious project are heard and considered and the interests of the long-standing neighborhoods are respected.

Also, I understand how state, county and local governments function because I work in all three levels in my job.  This experience helps me advocate for ARCA and its members before Arlington County and the Commonwealth of Virginia governments when needed.

I welcome the opportunity to serve the interests of our neighbors in another term as an At-Large member of the ARCA Board.
